The writer in me…Her imaginative ramblings..

I am the first to admit I love my characters. They are as real to me as a person sitting in front of me. I have conversations with them. When I talk about them to someone it’s as if they are real not in my imagination…

I have actually never done this? 🤔It’s a cool idea though. I do talk through dialogue out loud sometimes. It helps to read it out loud so it sounds the way you want it too.

One of the coolest things about writing characters…is saying what’s on your mind. You say what others don’t…you say what others think…You never have to worry about offending someone…unless it’s necessary for the plot…

Observation is the key to writing characters…those odd or quirky things that make them memorable…listen and you will learn lol…

I know I have done my job well if I want to hang out with the characters I create. I know I have made them real. They have faults. They make mistakes. They are human. That is the beauty of fiction. Words can make you believe. Give hope. Make you laugh. That is my goal with every story I write.
