Christmas movies…why are we addicted to them?

I don’t know what it is about Christmas movies. I love them. I get a warm feeling. Happy endings do that too. And after a day working with awful customers it is nice to see something comforting, enter Christmas movies with happy endings.

There are certain ones we watch every year. Like polar express, or Christmas Carol, or National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, White Christmas…

It’s the need to watch a nostalgic film, or laugh hysterically, or just hug your family…

Yet, films like polar express remind me of days my children were young, Christmas was fun, and all aspects were just filled with joy.

So maybe it’s not just the films themselves but how they make us feel every year. The memories they conjure, the feelings they evoke…it’s many things I guess that is why we love them.
