Christmas trees…the symbol of the Christmas season…

I don’t know about you…but it does not feel like Christmas until we have the tree in our living room all lit up. I like to turn all the lights off and just stare at it. Crazy I know. I don’t even start wrapping presents until I have a tree to put them

As a kid we would alternate between Douglas fir and noble firs…I used to think it was because my parents could not decide so that was their compromise. I learned later it had to die with price, which ever tree was cheaper lol…

I honestly try to be a good person year round. I’m mostly successful. However retail is hard during this season exceedingly difficult. So coming home to my beautiful tree is the highlight. That and a Christmas movie, hot chocolate or a glass of wine while I admire the lights.

My daughter and her new husband came over to help me decorate the tree this year. It was so wonderful. Unwrapping the ornaments and sharing the stories behind them is also a tradition each year. My daughter’s favorite part actually. Being able to share that with my new son in law was exceptional.

That’s all I have for tonight friends. Just admiring my Christmas lights and breathing in the peace of this evening before work again. Life and writing are a work in progress )just like me)😉
