Working in retail at Christmas is one of the craziest experiences…I believe everyone should have to work at least one in their lifetime. Just to appreciate how hard others work to make sure you have a memorable holiday.
Most of the time it is who gets yelled at for a person waiting till last minute. Or we run out of something. Or a brand new employee just starting gets screamed at for not knowing something. Today I had a seven year old pointing at my chapped lips and a yelling do you need chapstick! (Yeah kid I love to…however I have had not breaks today in my sixth hour)
It is so hard people to stay positive and continue to be helpful when people are awful. It’s mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting. However I still stay positive and work extra hours to help.
Yes, caffeine is necessary during day, whiskey or substantial amount of any type of alcohol… leading to family members thinking you are an alcoholic…lol
Those days are coming I hope. Maybe sometime after new years lol…that’s all I have for tonight friends…life and writing are a work in progress…(just like me)😉
