Star Wars…do I need to say anything else.

All, I need to do is see those words and I get goose bumps. The emotions are deep for these. My father was a movie buff. We spent so much time in the theatre as a kid. It was so much fun. But nothing compares to these.

As a child I was captivated by this universe. However it was the characters I loved. Luke, Leia, Han, Yoda, Obi-Wan…years later it was Queen amidala, and then Rey. For me women as hero’s were the most amazing thing I’d ever seen. I was then able to share this incredible thing with my kids. Hopefully someday my grand kids.

Tears flow freely when I think of my father. I was lucky to have him for almost half my life. It is sad Luke and Leia did not have either parent. There pain I can relate too. Just like everyone else. Each person has a character that they know and understand. I love my siblings so much. Just like Luke and Leia. So there’s something for literally everyone.

I am sure there are haters out there. That’s ok. I am sure you have a special movie, character, or series that is your thing. You have nostalgia for. That thing whatever it is evokes strong emotions and love. That is the best part about movies, books, television they give us glimpses of things only our imagination can explore and enjoy. I hope that you enjoy that as much as we enjoy these films.

Holidays are always hard after losing a loved one. As adults we spend so much time worrying about the future even though it’s not written yet. Or dwelling on a past. Moving forward is the hardest thing to do no matter what it is. Yoda puts it best…Do or Do not…there is not try! He’s right. We have to keep going. Not stop.

So keep moving forward friends no matter what. That’s all I have for today friends…Life and writing are a work in progress…(just like me)😉
