It’s election time again…

Which topics would you like to be more informed about?

Voting is a very important thing to me. I am so grateful to be a citizen that can vote. These elections are so stressful. I cannot tell you how often friends stop talking because of opposing views. I feel like I have no voice sometimes. But, on that ballot I do. I have a choice on my taxes, amendments, measures, and candidates. I get to weight the pros and cons of each.

So, I spent time reading about topics, and weigh my options before I fill in that box. Unfortunately during these times all we see is the candidates fighting, or treating each other negatively. It irritates me. We are not seeing or hearing what they will do for our community or state. We are just seeing why they dislike their opponent??? I wish it was more about the actual facts and not rhetoric, hearsay, online conspiracy.

So, the topic I would like to be more informed about is actual issues, actual facts, not junk ads and bashing opponents. What is going to effect me as a women, as a consumer, as a home owner, what will my taxes be? Minimum wage etc.

So regardless of opposing views. Please exercise your right to vote. Especially us girls. Women fought hard so we can. (The song from Mary Poppins is ringing in my ears. “Sister suffragettes”)
