Amazing teachers are one in a million…I had one in middle school…Her name was Mrs. Porter.

I was lucky I went to a small Christian school. It was positive cause class sizes small. Same teacher for three grades. The consistency I liked. The popularity contest I despised. I was bullied an picked on constantly. Yet, there was one light… the period we got to leave our main classroom for our English class. With Mrs. Porter. The one class were reading was required, short stories written, vocabulary learned…my dream class. My teacher was the best. She effected our life just in that one hour. She took us to destinations thru pages of books. She taught us to look at things differently. It was were my love of reading began. My writing began. She was the driving force that inspires me today. A real teacher is someone who makes you live and breathe outside the box. One who shows you it is amazing to be there. Encourages you to not be afraid. To push forward with everything you have. Live this life to the fullest. Thank you Mrs. Porter for giving me that!
